LOTUS Thailand 2027: 12 Days of Dance, Jungle & Island Magic

What if a trip could change how you move through the world?

I’ve been adventuring for a while, and Thailand has been the thread running through it all. Now I’m bringing it back in a new form. LOTUS is a 12-day ecstatic dance and nature adventure through Southern Thailand, co-hosted with my friend Angela Castellani, and it’s built for just 12 people.

February 7–18, 2027 · Southern Thailand · 12 Days · 4 Locations · 12 People Max

The Idea: Root, Rise, Bloom. Become.

The lotus grows out of murky water and opens into sunlight. That’s the rhythm of the whole journey. We Root into nature (barefoot walks, listening to the land). We Rise through ritual (dancing our prayers, breathing with the moon, hiking through the mud). And we Bloom in connection with kindred spirits, returning to ourselves renewed. Then we Become, carrying what bloomed here home with us. Wherever you are on your path, closed, budding, or in full bloom, you belong here.

Come as you are. Leave as who you’re becoming.

Root: Hot Springs Beach Resort, Phang Nga (Days 1–3)

We arrive under the new moon and ease in. Soak in mineral hot springs steps from the sea, kayak, and spend the days on the beach. There’s a welcome tea circle at sunset, a Thai culture talk and flower essence workshop, a cacao circle, and a handpan meditation on the beach. Our first dance is a silent disco under the open sky.

Rise: Moken Islands, Mu Ko Surin Marine National Park (Days 4–5)

A boat crossing takes us into a protected marine park, where we sleep in island glamping tents and snorkel crystal-clear water with Moken guides. The Moken are a traditionally nomadic sea people who have lived in balance with the ocean for thousands of years. We spend a day learning from them, seeing a traditional Kabang boat, and ending with a sunset boat ride in golden light.

Bloom: Treehouse Jungle Camp, Khao Sok (Days 6–8)

This is the wild heart of the trip. We float down the river on a bamboo raft at sunset, visit an elephant sanctuary, take a Thai jungle cooking class, and receive blessings from a monk at the Monkey Temple. Evenings bring sound healing, shared meditation, and movement by candlelight. We also dance with the children of the local jungle camp, which is one of the most joyful moments of the retreat. (Longtime readers know Khao Sok is close to my heart. Here’s how it first stole it.)

Become: Floating Rafthouses, Khao Sok Lake (Days 9–12)

We finish on the water, in floating rafthouses ringed by limestone cliffs rising out of jade-green water. Swim, paddle, kayak, explore the caves, or take an early wildlife boat through the mist, and let it all land. We close the circle with a sacred closing ceremony.
